Learn from the servanthood of Christ. (1) choose service over self-interest, and (2) think like a servant.

2. Be Humble

In the words of Paul, we have two practical advice how we can serve in humility: (1) "Consider others better than yourselves" - DON’T OVERESTIMATE YOURSELF, and (2) "Look to the interests of others" - CARE FOR THE INTERESTS OF OTHERS.

3. First Be A Follower

We are called to follow Jesus, not seek a position. The 3 principles of ’followership’ is (1) hear His call, (2) lay down your own agenda, and (3) fix your eyes on Jesus.

4. What Does It Take To Be Great In The Eyes Of God?

Disciples of Jesus was given a new perspective on greatness. We learn to (1) find greatness in serving and (2) make Jesus the benchmark of true service.
To be great is to serve. We don’t ASCEND to greatness, but descend into greatness. To be great in this world is to put importance on oneself; to be great in God’s Kingdom is to serve the needs of man. The world sees greatness in those who exercise power and authority but God ...read more

5. Shaped For Service

Paul highlighted a few facts: (1) our contribution in ministry is critical (you are saved to serve), and (2) each contribution is unique (you are shaped for a purpose).
Paul says we are ONLY SERVANTS...
