Keeping the Sabbath is all about walking with Him; it’s about submitting to His lordship. So, whatever else it means to “keep Sabbath”, this we can be sure of: Jesus is the reason, Jesus is the focus, Jesus is what it’s all about.

2. A Time To Remember

Sabbath is a time to remember what we were and why we are no longer what we were! We have a Deliverer! We have a Rescuer! The bondage that we’ve been released from is no less dramatic than the bondage that the Israelites were delivered from in Egypt!

In the commands regarding the Creation we find echoes of Eden. Even as we don't leave human sin to run rampant in our personal lives, we should also seek to manage God’s creation in God-honoring and God-pleasing ways.
