Sacrifice can a foreign and strange thing to us. When looking at sacrifice, it is help to look at purpose, place, and presentation. When keeping this in mind, we can apply his point to our lives and see the richness of the imagery and truth.
Sacrifices were important and instrumental to the worship life of believers in the Old Testament. We might be unfamiliar with them, so it can helpful to look at them in detail. How would you summarize the Gospel message? Do it in one sentence. Now, take what you have, and shorten it. Can you do it? Paul can. He summarizes the Gospel message with just four small words....God...is...for...us!

3. No Such Thing As Free Lunch?

Nothing in life is free. EVER. In Romans 5, Paul tells us of one thing that is entirely free: God's Grace.

4. What You Were, What You Are

It is interesting to see what we once were and to compare it with what we are. Paul does that in Romans 6 as he says we once were slaves to sin, but now are slaves to righteousness.
Flipping through old photo albums, or even Facebook photos, can be a very interesting thing. It is neat to see what you were compared to what you are now. 5. Story Of My Life

Story of my life. It is the phrase that you never want to say. As Paul writes Romans 7, we hear him sigh and say, "Story of My Life." As we look deeper at the chapter, we see that it is the story of our lives too!

6. Sons And Daughters

Romans 8 is one of the most beloved and comforting chapters of the Bible. As Paul writes this chapter, he gives us a wonderful picture of salvation: adoption.

9. A Shorter List; 30 Vs 2

In Romans 12:9-21, Paul gives us an overwhelming list of 30 encouragments. However, they can be slimmed down to just two overarching themes: self-sacrificial love and overcome evil with good. We also see how these things point us to Jesus.

As a nation, state, and people, we know debt. In Romans 13, Paul calls us to have one more debt: love one another.
Being in debt is never fun, nor is it easy. As a country, we know what it is like to be in debt. Our national debt is astronomical. It is roughly 19 trillion dollars. In Romans 14, the apostle deals with an issue about food and days that stems from Christian Freedom. When discussing this matter, Paul points us to our identity in Christ, and how that impacts this issue and these debates.
