The Church at Laodicea, a church, it seems, with no redeeming qualities. Luke warm, every church was commended for something, except the Laodicean church. Are we like the Laodicean church?

The door of evangelism was wide open to them and they did God's will. They obeyed His will. There was no condemnation uttered for this church. There was only an admonition to hold fast what they had.

3. The Title Deed To Creation

John see the title deed to creation and weeps because no one was found to open the seals to the scroll. But then the Lamb, the Lion of the tribe of Judah prevailed to loose the seals of the scroll. Jesus Christ has paid the redemption price.

John see the Ancient of Days on His throne. A door was opened. A voice commanded John to "come up here". John was then in the presence of God. John begins to describe his vision.

Pergamum was a center of religion. There were many temples to many false Gods, and out of this God chose to establish a true church. However, Satan had ideas of his own. Perhaps he could destroy the church from within.
