1. Sermon 1 Humility, Submission, And Context
Contributed on Apr 2, 2026
This is the first sermon in this revelation series. Most of the content I learned from my notes I took from listening to Shane Wood, who is an amazing teacher and who I believe has a better grasp of Revelation than anyone I have heard. I am attempting to give credit where it's due.
Encourage everyone to take notes! The main three guys that I have looked to clarity on Revelation are Shane Wood, Robert Lowery, G. K. Beale. Introduction: Revelation is scary. It’s a weird book. It has beast coming out of the sea, dragons trying to eat babies, bowls of wrath (It’s not referring ...read more

Another subject that leads to a false interpretation of revelation is subject of what is the meaning of the phrase last days. What does it mean to be living in the last days?
When it comes to Revelation there are a couple of things that really get people riled up. One of them is the subject of Prophecy and how we define prophecy will determine how we interpret revelation. So, I will attempt to answer the question: What is Prophecy? Another subject that leads to a false ...read more

Principle 2 is the principle of submission. The principle of submission says I will not make God's word say what I wanted to say, but I will surrender to what God's word is saying.
Before we dive into the message today, I want to do a quick recap. The first week we discussed 3 principles. Principle one is the principle of humility. The principle of humility says I don't have it all figured out and if we disagree let's do it in such a way that we glorify God. But also ...read more

5. Sermon 5 Genre And Symbols

It's easy to forget when you pick up the Bible that you are actually overhearing a conversation. Every letter in the New Testament was written from one person to another person or group of people.

Revelation was never meant to be scarry or difficult. It was meant to be a blessing. Not only would it be a blessing to them but also to us 2000 years later.
