For a church to be a successful church, we must understand the importance of being "Partners In Christ".

2. I Want You To Know

Paul wanted the church to know, then and now, that if we remain in Christ, our trials will actually serve to "Advance the "Gospel".

3. It's All About Choice

Our motive for service proves our choice of master. Paul reminds us that if our motive of service proves Christ to be our Master, then the results should be a life of bearing fruit.

Knowing persecution can cause an attitude of insecurity, cliques and disharmony, Paul calls for the church to be in one accord, harmony, and humility, following the example of Christ himself.

Paul teaches the importance of “Pressing One” in all areas of life. We must move towards the mark – towards the finish line – toward the day when Christ greets us face to face and says “You’ve arrived”!

Paul uses a conflict in the church to teach us how to gain victory over trials by giving them to God. Joyfully remembering how God has relieved us of our trials in times past, we are to present our needs to God, and continually focus on things of God!
