1. The Time Has Come
Contributed on Aug 10, 2005
Throughout the Gospels we find references to Jesus’ work of redemption, and often we read, “His hour had not yet come.” But now it was at hand. These words of Jesus were prayed in the shadow of the cross.
“The Time Has Come” Pastor Bob Leroe, Cliftondale Congregational Church, Saugus, Massachusetts “These things Jesus spoke; and lifting up His eyes to Heaven, He said, ‘Father, the time has come. Glorify Your Son, that Your Son may glorify You’.” (John 17:1) “Some people pray by the yard; but ...read more

2. The Outworking Of Glory
Contributed on Aug 10, 2005
Jesus asked for His glory to be restored so He could fully exercise His authority. The “glory of God” is the radiance of His splendor. It’s an attribute of His attributes. When Jesus took a sacrificial interest in us, this was the outworking of glory.
“The Outworking of Glory” Pastor Bob Leroe, Cliftondale Congregational Church, Saugus, Massachusetts “For You granted Him authority over all people that He might give eternal life to all those You have given Him. Now this is the way to have eternal life: to know You, the only true God, and ...read more

3. The Finished Work Of Christ
Contributed on Aug 10, 2005
The completed work of Christ is work for the unworthy. We’re worse than we think we are, but God’s grace is far greater than we think it is.
“The Finished Work of Christ” -Pastor Bob Leroe, Cliftondale Congregational Church, Saugus, Massachusetts “I have brought glory to You here on earth by completing the work You gave Me to do. And now, Father, glorify Me in Your presence with the glory I had with You before the world began.” ...read more

Contributed on Aug 10, 2005
We who seek to follow Jesus: 1) Have received God’s revelation; 2) Are God’s possession; and 3) Obey our Lord
“True Discipleship” Pastor Bob Leroe, Cliftondale Congregational Church, Saugus, Massachusetts John 17:6, “I have revealed You to those whom You gave Me out of the world. 5. Everything From Above
Contributed on Aug 15, 2005
People may reject Jesus’ word, but that rejection does not invalidate His message. Jesus did not discover the Way; He declared, “I am the Way.”
“Everything from Above” Pastor Bob Leroe, Cliftondale Congregational Church, Saugus, Massachusetts Verses 7-8, “Now they know that everything You have given Me comes from You, for I gave them the words You gave Me and they accepted them. They knew with certainty that I came from You.” Not ...read more

6. Kept In Christ
Contributed on Aug 25, 2005
In these few verses, we learn: who Jesus is praying for; who He’s not praying for; His special relationship with the Father; and His request for our protection and unity. We find great comfort and confidence in knowing that our Savior is praying for us.
“Kept in Christ” Pastor Bob Leroe, Cliftondale Congregational Church, Saugus, Massachusetts &John 17:9-11, “My prayer is not for the world, but for those You have given Me, for they are Yours. 7. The Full Measure Of Joy
Contributed on Sep 5, 2005
We need to know the what and why of this joy—what true joy is all about and why joy is a mark of believers. The source of joy is not found in this world; it is external, from Above.
“The Full Measure of Joy” Pastor Bob Leroe, Cliftondale Congregational Church, Saugus, Massachusetts “I am coming to You now, but I say these things while I am still in the world, so that they may have My full measure of joy fulfilled within them” (John 17:13). It may seem surprising, but ...read more

8. Up Against The World
Contributed on Sep 12, 2005
The cosmos opposes God and is condemned by God. This “world system” is society organized without God and against God. At best, He gets a back seat. The cosmos puts people at the center of all things instead of God. Belonging to Christ involves a radic
“Up Against The World” Pastor Bob Leroe, Cliftondale Congregational Church, Saugus, Massachusetts “I have given them Your word, and the world hates them because they are not of the world any more than I am of the world.
