Every generation commits spiritual adultery whilst claiming to be faithfully following Christ. we need to heed the warnings of Hosea

Hosea speaks of Gomer’s unfaithfulness as a reflection of the spiritual adultery of the people of God

The contrast between God’s love for us and the hypocrisy of the religious leaders. a grave warning against syncretism and coming judgment.

Words and actions must match if repentance is to be genuine

God’s judgment on unfaithfulness is unpalatable but we need to hear it.

There is a ’kairos’ moment when we must plough up sinful hearts and seek the Lord God - as Hosea challenged the people to do.

God’s unfailing love for his people directs how he deals with them. even when angry he still loves them
