When we forget that there is another "world," a life in the presence of God, then we are destined for a grim shock; we may think we are pursuing success, but our focus only on the things of this world ultimately leads to failure.

Jesus asks that we would be shrewd: shrewd in preparing for a future with God, and shrewd in helping our neighbor in need.
