An introduction to the issue of forgiveness. We forgive as God forgives us. God forgives us conditionally, otherwise you would have universalism. Even believers must confess their sins before the relationship is completely restored.

Sins committed in ignorance are different than those committed knowingly. Forgiveness does not mean instant trust and credibility.

The desire to take revenge is not necessarily sinful, but we must not take our own revenge. Government may do so, but if it fails, ultimately God will take revenge.
