This experience of Elijah's life is probably the most ignored or overlooked mountain of his experience with God, but it is an essential one. It is a lesson in how God separates a believer unto himself.

The Prophet Elijah meets the King Ahab and the false prophets on Carmel, and God answers by fire! Elijah at Carmel shows us separation from the world as a necessity for experiencing the fire of God.

Elijah At The Cave shows us separation. Cherith was a ditch (separation unto God). Carmel was a trench (separation from the world). This separation in the earth is a Cave (separation in the Spirit).
