Which should take precidence - the mind or faith? Are the two mutually exclusive or can they get along together? Such are the questions out of Colossians 1: do you have the mind of man or the mind of Christ?
In our world today there is a fight going on - which is more important, intellect, or faith? Especially amongst Christians these two ideas fight for preeminence. 2. Life As A Stunted Plan

Do you feel a lack of growth? It could be that you are experiencing the effects of bad doctrine or that you need to re-connect to the root - Jesus Christ.
The Colossians were Christians - they knew Jesus as their Savior. But what threatened them in the proto-Gnostic heresy was a lack of maturity. Often we want to make ourselves better but go about it the wrong way. Paul the Apostle gives us tips in how to put off the old nature and put on Christ’s character.
In chapter 2, Paul focused on the error of elevating the mind above the knowledge of God, and focusing on taming the physical body as a way to righteousness. How should we live our lives in a way that Jesus is evident and the gospel relevant? Paul has some practical advise. Also information on how Gnosticism is rampant today.
