3. The Government Upon His Shoulders

The weight and the heaviness of the world due to the damage of sin has been transferred upon his shoulders. Instead of us taking and carrying the heavy burden of the world upon our weak and painful shoulders, Christ will take the load off our backs.

On that first Christmas, the angels declared to the shepherds that the Good News will cause Great joy for all the people. In this message, we will discover that indeed, the Good News of salvation has great spiritual power to change our lives.

These shepherds were out in th efields one night when the angel of the Lord appreared to them to announce the birth of the Savior. Let us learn from them.
We have been learning many things from the important characters of the first Christmas story. Simeon was a devout and righteous man who had been waiting patiently for the Messiah to come. When he saw the little boy, Jesus, he took him by his arms and blessed him.
