When we get to know Jesus, we can trust Him that wherever He is leading us is good and for our good. And so we want to put ourselves in the place of hearing His voice.

2. Handling The World's Hatred

Nowhere in this passage does Jesus call any of His followers to seek revenge or retreat from the world because of their hatred towards you, but He is calling them to be an active, living testimony of the love and life of God.
As a review from the last Sundays, the narrative from chapters John 13 - 14 is describing Jesus is in His last week on earth and in chapters 15 on, it is down to the last hours before the crucifixion. 3. No Greater Love!

Jesus’ love wasn’t empty words. His love was manifested as he stood silent before His mockers and accusers, by every cruel lash He took for us, by every step He took on the road to Calvary, by each nail driven into his body. This should have been us.
Every sermon we preach, no matter what time of year it is, points to the Person of Jesus Christ because He is the Cornerstone of our faith. 4. Journey From Death To Life (Part 2)

Peter’s brokenness taught him a great lesson about the Lord’s love, faithfulness, forgiveness, and acceptance. Peter had his own journey from death to life. He realized he could not follow Jesus in his own strength. This realization kept him humble and dependent on Jesus.

Only the Lord’s love is perfect, unlimited, and eternal and only through His Word and His Spirit can we begin to comprehend the immensity and the intensity of this love.

If you knew that you had the assurance of a new life, eternal life with God, a hope that could not be disappointed, prayers that would be answered in accordance with God’s will, you will have a joy that no one can take and a peace that passes all understanding.

You can try to live the life on your own, you can try to serve the Lord in your own strength and wisdom, but Jesus came to show a better way, a living way and it comes from above, it comes from Him.

John 1:1-5 sets the stage for the rest of gospel - we get to see the Son of God, the Messiah in every story, every place, every circumstance and with every person. This is what John wants the reader to experience in their own lives, to encounter Jesus, the Son of God, the Messiah.

The more you look to the Lamb, the more you understand His all-encompassing sacrifice, the more you will grasp the greatness of God’s grace and mercy.

God was not asking them to raise the dead, He was simply telling them to take a step of faith and remove that stone and then they will see what He can do.
