This sermon is a focus on Jesus as Pilate and others saw him -- a failure. The irony is, his "defeat" was actually his key to victory.

In John 12.20-36 where the Greek-speaking Jews asked to see Jesus. Three things stand out from this episode, People WANT to see Jesus; People NEED to See Jesus; and People WILL See Jesus. As His disciples we can aid or hinder people in seeing Jesus.

Jesus submits to the Father in baptism, although as John pointed out, he had no need to be baptized (he was without sin). However, Jesus is righteous by doing what is "right" and sets the example and standard for us.

This is the final lesson from the Behold the Man series. We have looked at how some have seen him, including the Father's view as His Son, the Anointed One. This lesson looks at Jesus as he sees himself -- as having all authority in heaven and on earth.
