Let me just say that when in my mother's house, you do not have to worry about ever moving if you don't want too. I grew up not doing anything around the house. Oh, I worked outside some but my mom was a perfectionist and still is, so we kids never had to do anything because we exploited her desire

DON'T CHANGE ME
Elie Wiesel, the eloquent Jewish author, once told this story: “A just man comes to Sodom hoping to save the city. He pickets. What else can he do? He goes from street to street, from marketplace to marketplace, shouting, ‘Men and women, repent. What you are doing is wrong. It will

C.S. Lewis’ celebrated children’s book, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, tells of the adventures of four children in the magical kingdom of Narnia. The story is fun, but it’s also an allegory of Christ and salvation, with Christ represented by the lion Aslan. When in Narnia, the children meet

"The Power of God"
A little boy was walking downtown one day and he came to a pet store. He really wanted a little puppy dog. He began saving every penny because he wanted to get a little puppy dog. He knew exactly how much money he needed. Everyday he would pass that pet shop on his way home

The penny is an interesting piece of metal. The price of the metal within the penny actually is worth more than its assigned value. And to top it off, the penny is almost worthless at least in terms economic buying power. You can’t get anything for penny nowadays. I can’t think of anything.

WHAT HE HEARD HIS WIFE SAY, "You’re way too stupid to be trusted driving alone in bad weather at your age."
WHAT SHE ACTUALLY SAID, "Drive carefully, dear."
WHAT HE HEARD HIS WIFE SAY, "Honey, why don’t you put your head in a vice and I’ll turn the handle until your skull explodes."
WHAT SHE

WHO INFLUENCES WHOM?
I heard a joke about Bill and Hillary Clinton recently. It seems they were on vacation one weekend, and decided to go for a drive to see the beautiful countryside. After a while, they needed to stop for gas. They pulled into a tiny gas station, and out walked a man to help

Often when we sin, and get caught in the act by the Lord, and He ask us what we are doing, we reply, "Nothing!" "I wasn’t doing anything."
It is kinda like the time that I caught my oldest daughter (she was about 3 or 4 years old) eating jelly out of the Jelly jar. "Nikki, are you eating out of

A GIFT OF THE WORD
When I was a teenager, my pastor gave me a little pocket New Testament, bound in red leather. And inside, on the flyleaf, he had written a note. And with the note was a Scripture citation: Romans 12:1-2. I couldn’t wait to turn to that passage and read what it said. If you know

We can learn a lot about being a friend from "MAN’S BEST FRIEND" Someone has said, "Only God and my dog can love me unconditionally". When I pastored in Pensacola, Fl., my wife and I had two Boston Terriers. There names was Sissie and Alphie. My wife said to me one day, "I think you love those

The Daffodil Story.
Several times my daughter had telephoned to say, "Mother, you must come to see the daffodils before they are over." I wanted to go, but it was a two-hour drive from Laguna to Lake Arrowhead. "I will come next Tuesday," I promised a little reluctantly on her third call.

I have heard and read quite a number of analysis of the weakness of Samson, his lack of self control and his inability to resist the power of a woman...well, guess these are all correct in their own ways but I would like to look at this man of God from another perspective. I believe
