Psalm 118:105: Your Word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path. (NLT)
While in India on a brief missions trip, I was summoned to a the home of an official who was sick. He wanted me to agree with him in prayer.
On the way, we traveled along a river in the dead of night. We carried Coleman lanterns to light our way.
As we walked the narrow path towards his house, everyone stopped abruptly.
“TWAP!”
On the end of a large rod, hung a lifeless snake. The guide in front of me spotted the poisonous beast and killed it with one strike.
The lantern illuminated our path and revealed the presence of an enemy who might have killed us.
The Word illuminates where we are and what is up ahead.
