PLENTY OF TIME
William Sangster was a hard-driving 19th Century preacher. He wrote about his life, "A busy life, no time to think. No time for rich, rewarding meditation and prayer. No interior life. No quietness and poise. Hence, rush invades restlessness. Repetition. No new thoughts of men or revelations from God."
When he was ill he wrote, "I rushed about too much. I can’t rush any more. I talked too much. A little talk now tires me. I didn't pray enough. I have plenty of time now for prayer. I was proud of my health and work. Now my health is gone and my work is limited. I never really had time to look. I now have plenty of time to look."
