STARBUCKS SOCIETY
Sometimes people describe today as the culture of "Starbucks" or the "iPod" society? We have been taught to look at ourselves as individuals, and the preferences of the individual are more important than the group. At Starbucks you can stand behind somebody and they can rattle I want a double triple nonfat latte with almond nonfat milk and whip cream, and the Starbucks person will just click it all in and say we’ll make it the way you want it just for you! The same thing with an iPod, you can choose all sorts of your favorite music that you want to play just for you.
Christians aren't that way. We aren't individuals; we are body, a church.
