Remember with me if you can when your last child was born. For my wife and me it was in Hoffman Estates Medical Center, on October 17, 1986 at 1:58 a.m. We entered the hospital on a cool dark evening with great expectation about what was soon to occur. Birth pains gradually came in shorter and shorter intervals. Then as if suddenly, without delay, out pops this little boy – Brett Joseph. He was 7 lbs, 13 ounces of joy.
His mother carried him for nine months providing him safety and protection from the evils of the world, in the nurturing comforts of the womb. She took vitamin pills and provided the baby all the nutriments he needed to grow to be a healthy seven pound baby. Then she gave birth after enduring the pain and suffering of child birth.
The nurses quickly prepared him, wrapped him in a blanket and then presented him to us. There we were rejoicing in that delivery room. He was born without spot, he had all his limbs and good health. Joy flooded our souls. It is one of the most exciting moments in life.
Just as the nurse presented Brett to his mother, you need to be presented to the Father by Christ.
