CANADIAN IMMIGRATION
New Census Bureau data shows one in five Canadians is foreign-born. Between ’01 and ’07, the nation’s foreign-born population increased by 13.6%--four times the rate of the overall population. Australia (22%) is the only western country with a higher immigrant population rate than Canada (19.8%).
