Flex Time: Almost 29 million full-time wage-and-salary workers, or nearly 29%, have schedules that allow them to vary the time they begin and end their workday while working 40 hour weeks, according to the Labor Department. Flexible schedules are most common among executives, administrators and managers with 45.5% able to vary their work hours. Sales workers are next with 41% able to benefit. (Capper’s 1/21/03)
