Evangelical Christians Are:
· Slightly more likely to be female and aged 50 and older than the overall national adult population.
· Somewhat less likely to be college grads than the total population, but incomes mirror the national population.
· Most prevalent in the South, least so in the East and, match the general U.S. population in the West.
· 54% Republican and 22% Democrat vs. 35% and 33% of the total population respectively.
· 60% conservatives, compared with 40% nationwide, and they are less likely to identify themselves as moderates or liberals. (Gallup Alert 12/2/05)
