Absolute Moral Truth: 35% of adult Americans say moral truth is absolute, not dependent upon circumstances. 32% say it is always determined by the situation and 33% don’t know if it is absolute or relative. 70% of evangelicals believe it’s absolute and 42% of non-evangelical born again adults agree, but only 25% of notional Christians, 16% of people associated with non-Christian faiths and 27% of atheists or agnostics embrace moral absolutes.
