Bible Tax: Another sign of cultural change and values shift. Commonwealth Court in Pennsylvania ruled this month that the state’s sales tax exemption for bibles and other religious material is unconstitutional. This ends a 41 year old exemption and is expected to yield an added $900,000 in tax revenues annually. (Foster letter 6/97)
