Our Sunday School Director shared this and I am not sure of the source but it does reveal some wonderful truths:
Perhaps you are thankful for you wife who says it’s hot dogs tonight, because she is home with you and not out with someone else.
Or, for you husband who is on the sofa being a couch potato, because he is home with you and not out in a bar somewhere.
Or, maybe you thankful for your teenager who is griping about doing the dishes, because it means that she is at home and not living on the streets as so many are.
Or, for that little one who interrupts you day . . . . . Think of what it would be like if they were not there at all.
Or, for the mess to clean after a party because it means that you have been surrounded by FRIENDS.
Or, for the clothes that fit a little to snug because it means you have had plenty to eat.
Or, for a lawn that needs mowing, windows that need cleaning, and gutters that need fixing because it means you have a home to living in.
Or, you may be thankful that you have the right to grumble about our government because it means that you have freedom of speech.
Or, for the one parking spot you found out in the far reaches of the Mall because it means you are able to walk.
Or, for the lady behind you that is singing off key because it mean that you can hear.
Or, for the alarm that goes off early in the morning hours because it means that you are still alive and that God has given you another day to live and breath and help make a difference in this world.
