Then one day when I came home there was a rental van pulled up to his house. Doug was standing beside the small porch holding their child as he watched her and her boyfriend put her things in the van. It was such a horrific and terrible thing to watch. It seemed to be so intense for him. I stood beside him for what seemed to be a long time without saying a word. Finally he moved to sit on my porch steps. As we sit on my porch steps we saw the rental van pulling away and the young child waved bye to his mother. My heart sank as I watch the van pull away. I can’t image how he must have felt. He stood and watched until the van turned the corner. Then he walked over and sat down on his steps and held his child until way after dark.

She came and left two more times. Then the last time she was unfaithful -he left her, with an order of divorcement.

Coming home everyday to our spouse and saying “I love you” doesn’t mean we are faithful to our husband or wife. And because we come to church and tell God that we love him doesn’t make us faithful to Him either.
