NEVER TIRED-- COMMUNION MEDIATION
One of the young men fighting in Operation Enduring Freedom is Michael High, a 20-year-old control fireman aboard the carrier USS Harry S. Truman.
The sailor from Machesney Park, Illinois has a young wife, who is expecting their first child.
Michael’s mom, Cheryl Darmon, is very concerned for his safety. She prays almost constantly for her only son. She wears a cross around her neck that she rubs nervously as she prays.
“I’ve talked to God a lot,” Darmon said. “He’s probably tired of hearing from me.”
But God never tires of hearing us. He loves to hear from His children. He loves for us to bring our burdens and lay them at His feet.
At communion, we have a chance to place all of our burdens of sin and guilt at the foot of the cross.
