But Jesus answered and said to them, “I tell you that if these should keep silent, the stones would immediately cry out.” Luke 19: 40
What if Jesus literally meant it. Stones have a voice and are waiting to burst forth into praise. Before the stones cry out and praise God, let we start praising God. What if God is giving us an opportunity to praise Jesus before allowing the stones to praise Jesus. In this chapter, Jesus receives the right amount of praise and honour that he deserves for the mighty works done for humans. Father is very happy that Jesus is honoured and lifted very high. It was a wonderful and joyous moment for the entire cosmos. Seeing this, heaven along with creation wanted to join and burst forth in praise and worship. Creation with rocks is waiting to burst forth into a song of praise.
At this juncture, some people are silent and not praising God. When Jesus is lifted up so high, the creation and heaven are wating to burst forth into praise and honour Jesus, some people are silent. If we stay silent, stones and creation will start praising Jesus. Praising Jesus is an opportunity that God gives. If we miss it, creation will be given this opportunity. When you see Jesus lifted high, it’s time to praise him and not a time to stay silent. Start praising Jesus and don’t miss these kinds of opportunities. When Jesus is lifted high, use this opportunity to join in heaven’s choir to praise and honour God.
