A little boy made a sailboat by his own hands and took it out to the lake and sailed it by himself. But, sadly, a strong wind came over the lake and took the little sailboat away from the boy to the other side of the lake.
The little boy looked and looked for his boat but could not find it. He was very sad.
One day, the boy was walking by the pawn shop in his hometown and to his total surprise, he saw his little sailboat that he made with his own hands in the window of the store with a price on it.
The boy was so excited! He rushed into the store and said to the manager, "Sir, that is my sailboat in your window. I thought of it. I designed it. I made it with my own hands. It is mine!"
The manager laughed and said, "I'm sorry, son, but that boat belongs to me and if you want it, you are going to have to buy it from me."
The boy was upset but ran home to his piggy bank and got everything he had and ran back to the pawn shop. He said to the manager, "Here is everything I have and all that you have demanded. Please give me my little sailboat back now!"
When the boy received his sailboat, he was so happy. And as he walked out the door of the pawn shop, he was heard saying out loud for all to hear. "Little boat! Little boat! You are TWICE MINE! The first time I made you with my own hands.....the second time I paid for you and bought you back with everything I had. You are all mine. You are TWICE MINE!"
We were created by God but then we sailed into sin and drifted away from Him. But Christ came and paid the price for our soul by dying for our sin. He bought us back from sin and Satan. We are redeemed by His blood and and now Jesus can say of us, "You are TWICE MINE!"
