No note was written. There was no obvious clue to why I had
reached the depths of a horrible pit of desperation. How could life
for a forty-something get any worse than that? My Worst Day had
brought me to contemplating suicide!
A feeling of reaching life’s dead-end road had overpowered any
desire to keep living. All I had to do was put the decision into action.
Just do it! Load the gun, place it in a lethal position, pull the trigger,
and my misery would end.
If that was my Worst Day, what was my Best Day?
Here I am, a survivor, alive and well in my early 80s, writing a
book about stories of the “ups and downs” of life. We all have them,
but how we deal with the events determines our future.
Best Days turn the seriousness of dilemmas around to help us
become a more productive member of society – SURVIVAL =
GROWTH THROUGH FAITH. Hopefully, we will develop a closer
relationship with the Lord.
Each experience shared in this book is true and is provided to
show how God uses life’s happenings for a purpose. No matter our
status in life, we are not guaranteed a bowl full of roses. However
each encounter can allow God to do His best work – IF we let Him.
Having served as part time Director of Pastoral Care for a local
church, my life’s experiences, and an author of four published books,
I felt the need to add this book as an inspirational and motivational
arsenal for dealing with LIFE.
