Godly Counsel

GODLY COUNSEL
Proverbs 11:14 is a timely verse for the United States of America. It declares, “A nation falls through a lack of guidance, but victory comes through the counsel of many.” God has placed godly men and women around you in the Body of Christ. Use their wisdom, experience and insight when you need to hear the voice of God.
Sometimes when a football team is on the goal line of their opponent late in the game, the quarterback knows how important those plays are for his team. Many times he will call a time out and go to the sideline. There are coaches who are viewing the game from a private suite above the field. They talk to the quarterback and give him their perspective on the field of play, which is higher up.
Maybe you need to call a time out and go to the sideline. Perhaps you need to find a godly leader who is older and more experienced in ministry, marriage or the marketplace. Tap into that valuable resource to confirm what God is saying to you.
