Have you seen the insurance commercial on TV that shows a talking pot hole? “Did I do that? Let me call someone for you! Oh, I don’t have a cellphone.” The talking pothole just causes problems and does nothing to fix them. People have built all sorts of roads: roads of commerce and conquest. Many of those roads contain potholes made by men and women. Potholes of indifference, potholes of hatred, potholes of disease, potholes of poverty are all created by men and women often causing others to stumble and fall. It has no potholes but the ones men and women make. – The one road supremely needing to be built is the way of the Lord for it has no potholes. The way of the Lord is made smooth and level by those who follow the teachings of Christ Jesus.
