You see, Coach Gaines did not expect flawless play on the field but did expect a desire to be complete in their love for the game and for each other. In the same way God is not asking you to be sinless but rather to be “perfect” or complete in our striving for excellence - in our desire and endeavoring to think and thus be more like Jesus.
