High Speed: At the end ’05 there were 50.2 million U.S. homes and businesses connecting online via broadband, a 33% increase from ‘04, reports the FCC. 51% are cable modems and 41% are DLS lines. 72% of Web users now connect from high-speed lines vs. 57% just a year ago. (Online Media Daily 7/27/06)
