Teen Perspective on Woes Roper National Youth Survey reports what teens view as the top 6 causes of American society’s problems:
· 56% Selfishness/People not thinking of the rights of others.
· 52% People who don’t respect the law and the authorities.
· 48% Wrongdoing by politicians.
· 47% Lack of parental discipline of children and teens.
· 45% Courts that care more about criminals’ rights than victim’s.
· 41% Too much emphasis on money and materialism.
· Sounds like teens see things more clearly than many adults. (American Demographics 1/99)
