Never Surrender
Contributed by Dr. Ronald Shultz on Aug 28, 2020 (message contributor)
Acts 5:29 Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.
When the 101st Airborne was surrounded in WWII the Germans asked them to surrender. General Anthony McAuliffe replied, "Nuts!" The Germans tried to figure what that meant and while they did that Allied reinforcements arrived changing what could have been defeat into a victory.
The "Establishment" of the church may tell you to surrender because you are too young, too old, over/under educated, too fat, etc. If you really want to minister there are ways to get it done. There are more than enough lost, hurting, lonely and screwed up people to minister to where the only sanction you need is from God. You do not have to start a church or some group. Just find a place to serve. You are called to serve. Titles, positions and salaries can often get in the way of that because you become bogged down in details that mean nothing in eternity.
God has gifted you and you are called to use them so when someone tells you that you do not meet their criteria just be sure you are meeting God's criteria and say, "Nuts" and move on for His glory. Don't allow them to defeat you when you can just receive His victory. Hooah! Maranatha!
