  • Family: Married since January, 1975, to wife, Becky. Two grown children.
  • What my parents think of my sermons: They’re the best they’ve ever heard.
  • What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: Try to trim ’em down a little in time.
  • Best advice given to me about preaching: Don’t pull punches, answer the question "so what?" before you finish.
  • Books that have had an impact: The Bible. Discover Your Strengths. Half Time.
  • Hobbies: Music, golf, writing, watching sports.
  • If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: Jesus loves me, this I know for the Bible tells me so. But also, Jesus loves me this I know because I’ve talked to Him several times already today.
  • What I want on my tombstone: He is not here, he is risen.
