About Bo
  • Education: I have a Bachelor of Theology after attending the Beaver Creek Bible Institute for four years. I graduated March, 2001.
  • Experience: I pastored my First Church in Kinston, NC for 4 years, 1983-1987. I left there and came back home and pastored Trinity FWB Church from 1987-1988 and then moved to Simpsonville, SC and pastored the First FWB Church there from 1988-1990. I left there and went back to work until the Lord laid on my heart to start a work in 1995, the Faith FWB Church. We later changed our name to Cross Hill Community Church.
  • Comment to those looking at my sermons: Hope they bless them as much as they have me!
  • Sermon or series that made a difference: "Get In Your Place" by Pastor David Carter of Valley Falls FWB Church. God used him to help me get in God’s will!
  • One of my favorite illustrations: I’ve got too many favorites to type them all down.
  • Family: I am married to my beautiful wife, Libby. We have 7 children and 28 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren. We praise the Lord for all His blessings.
  • What my parents think of my sermons: Both my parents are waiting in heaven on me.
  • What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: She always tells me that they bless her and help her, but she is also my best critic. Thank God for that.
  • Best advice given to me about preaching: Preach it straight with a whole lot of love.
  • Books that have had an impact: The Prayer Of Jabez, Paul, A Man Of Grace And Grit
  • Hobbies: Reading, Golf and Fishing
  • If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: # 1 - I’d assure my family that I am saved. # 2 - I’d share with everybody where I’ll live forever, in heaven # 3 - I’d appeal to the lost to get saved
  • Something funny that happened while preaching: I preached a whole sermon with my "fly" open.
  • What I want on my tombstone: I Love Jesus
