A world filled with people. Each one unique. Moved by various passions and filled with distinct gifts. No two lives are the same. Though their journey’s may intersect, one’s path is their own. Each has their own voice, their own drive, and their own purpose. Too often, our uniqueness becomes a barrier. Our differences become divisive. The very things which make us individuals become stepping stones towards inequality, prejudice, and hatred. Yet there is one thing we have in common, we were all created in the image of God. At our very core, beneath the quirks and idiosyncrasies. Regardless of race or social status, we are all God’s handiwork. Fearfully and wonderfully made by a passionate Creator. A beautiful part of His creation. A tapestry designed to be at its most vibrant in unity.

The New Year is often a time of reflection. A chance to look back on the past 365 days and remember. Sometimes the memories bring a smile and other times they break our hearts. Chances are, you’ve experienced a bit of both this past year. The New Year is also a time to look ahead. To imagine what could be. To scan the horizon with expectation and seek God’s guiding hand. It’s a time to strive for better. To live louder, love stronger and be more of who God has created us to be. It’s an opportunity for new beginnings. A chance to start fresh, pursue God with a renewed passion, and to press on with all our hearts. The truth is, God has been faithful this past year and that faithfulness promises to carry us through the next. As a new year begins may we remember this one simple truth; In Christ we are a new creation, the old has gone and the new has come.

This video was created in response to the many emotions, or seasons, experienced in a short time. The past few years have been tough on just about everyone, for various reasons. For many in your church, the past few years may have been filled with anxiety and fear. This artful and unique creative video expression will help your church understand that even when it doesn’t feel like God is close, He is. We all need the reminder that, no matter what season you're in, God is with you and for you.

This mini movie could be used as a visual kick-off to a series or time of worship. It could also be used as an illustration for your sermon.

The hope and prayer from the producer of this video is that the visuals would connect with those going through dark seasons, but, by the end of the piece, people would be reminded that God is with you, and there is light in the darkness.
