Peter was a lost soul after denying his Lord. He decided to go back to fishing on the Sea of Tiberias and took six of Jesus' disciples with him. After a futile night with no fish caught, Jesus appears to His wayward men and invites them to a breakfast of fish which He has cooked for their comfort and refreshment. How like our gracious Lord - that when we are most certain we have sinned beyond His grace, He ministers a love to us which knows no bounds. He sets us upon our feet again with true forgiveness, healing, and restoration. He tells us that our work in His service is not dead for it has just begun.
