It’s a story or leadership, courage and faith that we can apply to our lives today. Joshua put his faith in God, that He would guide them in taking new territories, crossing the Jordan River and conquering Jericho. A plan that seemed impossible, Joshua trusted God that he would be victorious. Joshua’s men marched for seven days with the Ark of the Covenant and on the seventh day, they blew their trumpets and the walls came down.

The story of Jesus is the greatest story ever told. Especially the last few days leading up to his crucifixion. Jesus entered Jerusalem while people praised his arrival. As the days progressed many would betray him, even some of his closest disciples. He would be handed over to officials and sentenced to death by being nailed to a cross. But by God’s grace the story doesn’t end there. After 3 days of being buried in a tomb, Jesus would rise from the dead just as he promised.

Our world was lost to sin for many years. People were broken and empty. But throughout scripture a promise was made of a Savior that would conquer sin and bring salvation. That promise was fulfilled through Jesus Christ. God sacrificed His son so that we may have freedom from sin. Jesus was crucified and buried in a tomb for three days. But rose to life on that third day. We know this turning point in history as Easter. Salvation through Jesus Christ is not possible without the resurrection.
