Summary: No man can ever take his sin away. That’s the problem! But God solve it, He sent THE SIN TAKER!

INTRODUCTION

“All men are sinners! That is the problem. Who is going to take away the sins of the world? This is the big question. “

Let’s take a look on this story in John 3, Nicodemus one the Pharisees (Priests) and member of the Sanhedrin seems to without sin by mere position in religious and society orders. But Jesus told him that he needed to be born again to be heaven. Why? Because all men have sinned (Rom. 3:23) as the Word of God declares. Even without committing any sin by virtue of imputation of the sin of Adam every man born guilty of sin (Romans 5:12). But only when sins are taken away from every man that he is saved and worthy of the Kingdom of God. Sin must be taken away first. Who must be the sin-taker? The verses we are going to study today will teach us what are needed to the Sin-Taker and who is the Sin-Taker.

The Sin-Taker must be…

I. THE LAMB OF GOD, 29-31

A. Existed before the creation, 30

B. Chosen before the creation, 31 (not an afterthought)

II. THE SPIRIT OF GOD IS ON HIM, 32-33

A. Sent by God Himself (not by himself—consistent with the statement, “Not my will but your will be done.” In Matthew 26:46 and the Lord’s Prayer)

B. Testified by the Spirit of God

III. THE SON OF GOD, 34

A. One and only Son

B. One and only Savior

CONCLUSION

No one needs to be in bondage of sin. You don’t need to continue to live in sin and suffer its punishment. God wants you to be free from sin even before you are created. He sent His only son for you. Jesus came to take your sins away. Let Jesus take it away from you. Repent of your sins. Surrender them to Jesus. Ask forgiveness and ask Him to take control of your life. Let Him reign in your heart and live for Him for the rest of your life.
