TEN VITAL REVELATIONS CONCERNING THE FEAR OF THE LORD

1. WALKING IN THE FEAR OF GOD IS A FUNDAMENTAL REQUIREMENT OF A CHILD OF GOD.

" And now, O Israel, what does the LORD your God ask of you but to fear the LORD your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul, "
" Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man. "
2.WALKING IN THE FEAR OF GOD HELPS US TO SAFEGUARD OUR SALVATION AND ALSO EXPERIENCE THE FULFILLMENT OF THE PROMISES OF GOD.

3. WALKING IN THE FEAR OF GOD WILL BRING US GREAT ETERNAL REWARDS ON THE DAY OF JUDGEMENT.WE MUST RECEIVE GRACE FROM GOD TO LIVE A LIFE THAT IS PLEASING TO HIM AND TO WALK IN THE FEAR OF GOD ALL THE DAYS OF OUR LIFE.

"You have said, ’It is futile to serve God. What did we gain by carrying out his requirements and going about like mourners before the LORD Almighty?
But now we call the arrogant blessed. Certainly the evildoers prosper, and even those who challenge God escape.’ "
Then those who feared the LORD talked with each other, and the LORD listened and heard. A scroll of remembrance was written in his presence concerning those who feared the LORD and honored his name.
"They will be mine," says the LORD Almighty, "in the day when I make up my treasured possession. I will spare them, just as in compassion a man spares his son who serves him.
And you will again see the distinction between the righteous and the wicked, between those who serve God and those who do not."
"Not everyone who says to me, ’Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
Many will say to me on that day, ’Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’
Then I will tell them plainly, ’I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’
"Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.
But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it."
" Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.
For our God is a consuming fire."
4.WALKING IN THE FEAR OF GOD MEANS DEPARTING FROM EVIL.
