FREEDOM FROM THE POWER OF SIN!!
Romans Chapter 6; 1-13
Are you free from Earthly Sin? Are you free from
Bodily Sin??
Did you know that Jesus Christ walked in human form on this earth and was totally sin free??
Then think of what he had to go through with
Just for us and for our SINS.
Lets stand & read
You should already know that there is no chance for you to be totally sin free in this life or on this earth.. 99.9% maybe!!!
But one day if we follow after the will of our lord We can be sin free!! Then we’ll be 100% wont we?
Romans 3;23 says-
For all have sinned and come short of
the glory of God.
So what must we do to have freedom from
this power of sin??
First of all we must try not to sin BUT when we do-We must remember
1st.-That Jesus Christ is our Advocate and
2nd-Confess of our sins so we can restore our fellowship with God!!!
The bible says Pray without ceasing!!!!
Romans 6;15 says-
What Then? Shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? GOD FORBID…Or perish the thought..this expression of the unthinkable occurs more than 60 times in the apostle Paul’s writings…
In Verse’s 3 and 4 We touch on Baptism…Spiritual Baptism joins the believer to Christ
Verse 4 Paul reminds us that Baptism is the symbol of our new life in Christ.
Baptism of Course means to Immerse Also Spiritually Symbolizes DEATH-BURIAL AND RESURRECTION.
Now lets not confuse baptism with meaning or being equal to Salvation because its not!!!
Matthew 28;19 says:
Go ye therefore and teach all nations…Baptising them in the NAME OF THE FATHER AND OF THE SON AND OF THE HOLY GHOST…
Acts 2;38 says:
Then peter said unto them REPENT AND BE BAPTISED
EVERY ONE OF YOU IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST..For the remission of Sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost…
We should walk in our newness of life…
Eph 2:1 says
And you hath he quickened who were dead in trespasses and sins!!!!!!
Look at me!!!
The Lord has really cleaned me up!!!!
But the Book of Romans says
For the Wages of Sin is Death but the gift of
God is Eternal life
Gal 2;19 says:
For I through the law am dead to the law…that I might live unto God
In the reading we found that it tells us our old body or self was crucified with Jesus Christ….
Our body of sin is destroyed..and We should not be slaves of sin!!!
BUT SLAVES OF CHRIST…,
Gal 3;27 says:
For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ…
WE MAY BE THE ONLY BIBLE SOME PEOPLE READ
Col 2;12 says:
Buried with him in baptism where in also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead…
WE AS CHRISTIANS ARE BURIED WITH HIM
AND RISEN THROUGH FAITH
Gal chapter 6 tells us:
For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing nor uncircumcision but a new creation…
And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God…
From Henceforth let no man trouble me for I bear in my body…THE MARKS OF THE LORD JESUS…
Backing up to Gal Chapter 2 says:
I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live: yet not I , but Christ liveth in me and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God who loved me, and gave himself for me…
I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead IN VAIN …
You see don’t set aside the GRACE OF GOD!!!
Because God is our Freedom…
God is our Protector…
God is our everything
AND HE IS OUR WAY TO ETERNAL LIFE,…..WOW!!! Ain’t that something to get
Excited about ETERNAL LIFE!!!!!
1st Peter chapter 4 says:
For as much then as Christ hat suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind…for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin…
That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men but to the will of GOD!!!
That’s me I want to be in the Center of His perfect will tonight!!!!!
This is a perfect example of how to be good stewards
Within the Grace of God!!!
1st Peter 5;6 says :
Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time…
2nd Tim 2;11 says:
It is a faithful saying: for if we be dead with him we shall also live with him…..
The principles of our strength is based on our sureness of salvation…US CHRISTIANS are delivered from guilt and the Penalty of Sin – and We are FREE TO SERVE GOD!!!
Referring back to Vs 11 Apostle Paul must have some
Hillbilly in him He says:
Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto Sin, but Alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord…
We must identify with Christ and separate ourselves
With Sin and then We must LIVE ACCORDINGLY!!!
WE HAVE TO GLORIFY GOD THROUGH JESUS..
Do you experience trials and tribulations??
John 1:17 says:
For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ!!!!!!
Don’t you get homesick for that beautiful city
With streets of Gold!!!
Jesus said I am the way the truth and the life.
No man cometh unto the Father, but by me!!!!
Think about the butterfly, You gotta have some
Bad days with the good!!!!
You gotta have a little bitter with the sweet.
Our Pastor says it takes two mountains to make
One Valley!!!!!!!
John 8;32 says:
And ye shall know the Truth…and the TRUTH SHALL SET YOU FREE!!!!!
Rev 1;18 says (IN RED)
I am He that liveth and was dead and behold I am alive for Evermore – AMEN…
Luke 20;38 says:
For he is not a God of the dead, but of the living: For all live unto him…
Gal 2;19 says:

Conforming to the resurrection of Christ obliges us to rise again to the new life AND OUR ETERNAL LIFE…
God will not go back on his word our new home is waiting
Its there for the asking…
We must not fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness…
We soon will have that heavenly life and receive that glory that is there for us in heaven…
We Will rise to live with God…This is our newness of Life Eternal…..A life devoted to God is OUR FREEDOM FROM THE POWER OF SIN!!!!!
In our old sinful life SELF WAS THE CHIEF BUT WITH OUR NEW LIFE ITS GOD!!!
To live indeed is to live for God…
With our eyes always set on Him
MAKING GOD THE CENTER OF OUR ATTRACTION!
MAYBE WE THINK WE CAN’T CONQUER SIN…
OR MAYBE ITS TO HARD FOR US….
And it does get a little hard when old satin
Is climbing on our backs!!!!
We just say get behind me satin you’re a
Liar and the Father of it!!!!!
JUST SAY NO
JUST SAY NO…
YOU MUST WRESTLE WITH THAT ENEMY…
YOU MUST HOLD YOUR GROUND
EXODUS 14;14 : SAYS :
THE LORD WILL FIGHT FOR YOU AND YE SHALL HOLD YOUR PEACE…..
Its not your battle its GODS!!!
The enemy is already baffled!!!
There is strength laid up on the shelf for us—
Its there for the asking, to overpower satin and
His world!!!!!!
SIN SHALL NOT HAVE THE POWER OVER US!!!
Gods promises to us are much more powerful and effective
Than we even know about…..
LETS USE IT!!!!
GOD IS OUR FREEDOM FROM THE POWER OF SIN!!
Are you saved tonight?
Do you now for a fact that if you faced God right now…
And He opened the book that your name would be there?
Is your name in that Lambs book of Life??
Or will you be cast into the lake of fire?
Do you read you’re Bible?? If you were saved you would have a desire to read the bible…
You would want to know that you were living according to Gods word…..you would’nt want any maybe’s…
Do you have a desire to go to church?? If you were saved
You would want to go and hear the word of God!!!
Do you pay your tithes? If you were saved you would want to give God what is rightly His….and besides you”re not giving him 10 % He is giving you everything…..Everything belongs to God….He just lets us use it for a short time….
Do you fellowship with your Brothers and Sisters in Christ?????
If you were saved you would know that the bible tells us to meet and worship and fellowship together….
It also tells us when 2 or more gather together-The Lord will also be there….
Do you pray and ask God to let you into heaven???
Your Mother or Father can’t pray you to heaven…
Your Husband or Wife can’t pray you to heaven…
Your grandma or grandpa can’t pray you there…
Nor your brothers, sisters, aunts, Uncles, or Children
Can’t pray you there……
Their prayers for you won’t go void……..
I’m sure you have prayers laid on the shelf from those Who have prayed for you….And so do I….And they are still
Being said as we speak…..
LETS MAKE SURE WE HAVE OUR ENGINE RUNNIN AND OUR TRAIN POINTED TOWARD HEAVEN…..
