LIVING IN VICTORY, BE AN OVERCOMER
I can do everything through Christ who strengthens me.

1 JOHN 5:4-5
because everyone who has been born from God has won the victory over the world. Our faith is
what wins the victory over the world.
Who wins the victory over the world? Isn't it the person who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
Want alles wat uit God gebore is, oorwin die wêreld; en dit is die oorwinning wat die wêreld oorwin het, naamlik ons geloof.
Wie anders is dit wat die wêreld oorwin as hy wat glo dat Jesus die Seun van God is?
As born again children of God we are destined to be victorious and overcomers.
We need to realize and discover this truth that we are born of God, we can live in victory every day.
In order to enforce our victory, there are battles that we have to win while we are alive on earth.
There are battles that we are going to face as Christians, it does not matter how anointed you are
or how powerful your prayer life is. It does not matter how busy you are in ministry or how well
you know the word, there are battles that you are going to face and to be an overcomer you need
to be victorious in the attacks that come against you.
How many attacks have you have?
There are six major battles that we as believers must face in our Christian walk which we must
overcome.
1) Win the battle against your body
Galations 5:19-21Now, the effects of the corrupt nature are obvious: illicit sex, perversion, promiscuity,idolatry, drug use, hatred, rivalry, jealousy, angry outbursts, selfish ambition,
conflict, factions, envy, drunkenness, wild partying, and similar things. I've told you in the past and
I'm telling you again that people who do these kinds of things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
But the spiritual nature produces love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

afguns, moord, dronkenskap, brassery en dergelike dinge, waarvan ek julle vooraf sê, soos ek al vroeër gesê het, dat die wat sulke dinge doen, die koninkryk van God nie sal beërwe nie. Our biggest enemy is our self, our body. The flesh will always fight against the truth
of God and His word. Satan uses suffering. Because we are disobedient to the word
of God, and we are human and do things that result in suffering.
2) Win the battle against your mind.
Romans 12:2
Don't become like the people of this world. Instead, change the way you think. Then you will
always be able to determine what God really wants-what is good, pleasing, and perfect.
En word nie aan hierdie wêreld gelykvormig nie, maar word verander deur die vernuwing van julle gemoed, sodat julle kan beproef wat die goeie en welgevallige en volmaakte wil van God is.
Just like your body, your mind can also become an enemy that fights against the things
of God. Why would satan want to attack your mind, because it is the part of the image of
God where He communicates with you and reveals His will to you.
When the devil roars in your head telling you lies start roaring the word of God back at him
Your thought life leads to an attitude
Your attitude leads to an action
Your action leads to an achievement
Satan will deceive you by lies and will affect your thoughts.
3) Win the battle against your finances
Matthew 6:33
But first, be concerned about his kingdom and what has his approval. Then all these
things will be provided for you.
Maar soek eers die koninkryk van God en sy geregtigheid, en al hierdie dinge sal vir julle bygevoeg word.
God wants each and every one of us to be blessed financially. To win this battle we have
to defeat lack and poverty, too many people suffer from the ‘not enough’ syndrome.
God wants you to have power over your finances, to have more than enough.
4) Win the battle against your health
James 5:14
If you are sick, call for the church leaders. Have them pray for you and anoint you with
olive oil in the name of the Lord.
There is a battle that the enemy wages against your health. Jesus is our healer and we
can win that battle.
Is daar iemand siek onder julle? Laat hom die ouderlinge van die gemeente inroep, en laat hulle oor hom bid nadat hulle hom in die Naam van die Here met olie gesalf het. En die gebed van die geloof sal die kranke red, en die Here sal hom oprig. Selfs as hy sonde gedoen het, sal dit hom vergewe word.
5) Win the battle against your relationships
Proverbs 22:6
Train a child in the way he should go, and even when he is old he will not turn away from it.
Oefen die seun volgens die eis van sy weg; dan sal hy, ook as hy oud word, daar nie van afwyk nie.
We should be careful of who we have relationships with as many people are in the world,
we should surround ourselves with people who are like minded and love the Lord.
6) Win the battle against your soul
Matthew 16:26
What good will it do for people to win the whole world and lose their lives? Or what will a
person give in exchange for life?
Want wat baat dit ‘n mens as hy die hele wêreld win, maar aan sy siel skade ly? Of wat sal ‘n mens gee as losprys vir sy siel?
There is a battle for your soul. We need to grow spiritually and live a life of holiness.
We can only live one battle at a time and only with God’s strength and grace.
- We are to ask for God’s help, keep our focus on Him
- Don’t get distracted, satan will take our time away
- Don’t get proud
- Watch your confession, always speak truth and life, if you have nothing good to say
- then don’t say it.
- Don’t compromise; don’t give up your values and morals for something that feels
- wrong.
- Don’t give up, never give up, and never surrender.
God will see you through and you can live and walk in victory.
When we take our eyes of Jesus we will start sinking, whatever your storm is, that you are facing God will save you
By the blood of Jesus and the word of your testimony
Read the word of God it will bring rest to our soul.
BE AN OVERCOMER. LIVE IN VICTORY. STAND ON, DEPEND ON AND APPLY THE WORD OF GOD TO YOUR LIFE.
