Ten things to remember as we face the new year. In Christ, it’s all about something new.

WE WALK IN NEWNESS OF LIFE

Romans 6:4-5

4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:

HE IS WITH US FOR THE ENTIRE JOURNEY

HE WILL STRENGTHEN US WHEN WE ARE WEAK

HE HELPS US AND HOLDS US UPRIGHT

HE EVEN TAKES OUR HAND

Isaiah 41:10

10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

HE GIVES US A RIVER OF LIVING WATER BRINGING US LIFE DURING THE DRY PARCHED TIMES OF LIFE. HE QUENCHES OUR THIRST.

Isaiah 41:18

18 I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water.

IN CHRIST, WE ARE NEW CREATURES

2 Corinthians 5:17

17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

HE PUTS A SONG AND JOY IN OUR HEARTS

Psalms 40:3

3 And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord.

THIS JOY WILL OVERFLOW OUR LIVES. WE CAN NOT KEEP IT INSIDE, IT IS SOMETHING WE MUST SHARE

Psalms 40:9

9 I have preached righteousness in the great congregation: lo, I have not refrained my lips, O Lord, thou knowest.

WHEN OUR HEART REFLECTS HIS WORD, AND OUR WORDS REFLECT HIS WORD AND THE HEART, WE PLEASE HIM

Psalms 19:14

14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.

THE POWER OF HIS WORD, WHEN SPOKEN FROM OUR HEARTS

Isaiah 55:11

11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

HE IS THERE TO LEAD AND GUIDE YOU

Psalms 139:9-10

9 If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;

10 Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.

TRUST IN HIM AND HE WILL HELP YOU FACE WHAT IS AHEAD

Psalms 28:7-8

7 The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.

8 The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed.

WE DO NOT NEED TO FEAR WHAT THE FUTURE HOLDS WHEN WE ARE IN CHRIST, HE IS ALWAYS THERE TO HELP, GUIDE, STRENGTHEN AND EVEN HOLD US.
