John 15:4-5 (Amplified Bible)

15:4 Dwell in Me, and I will dwell in you. [Live in Me, and I will live in you.] Just as no branch can bear fruit of itself without abiding in (being vitally united to) the vine, neither can you bear fruit unless you abide in Me.

15:5 I am the Vine; you are the branches. Whoever lives in Me and I in him bears much (abundant) fruit. However, apart from Me [cut off from vital union with Me] you can do nothing.

VIII. MAIN BODY:

A. I am a green olive tree in GOD's House

"But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God;"

The Green Olive tree in the bible symbolizes CHRISTian believers, the believing house of Israel.

Some characteristics of green olive tree in the bible:

1. We are fimly planted by GOD - ready to bring forth fruit in it's season, we will not fade or wither, everything we do shall prosper

Psalms 1:3 (Amplified Bible)

1:3 And he shall be like a tree firmly planted [and tended] by the streams of water, ready to bring forth its fruit in its season; its leaf also shall not fade or wither; and everything he does shall prosper [and come to maturity].

2. The LORD acknowledges us

Jeremiah 11:16 (Amplified Bible)

11:16 The Lord [acknowledged you once to be worthy to be] called a green olive tree, fair and of good fruit; but with the roar of a great tempest He will set fire to it, and its branches will be consumed.

3. We are planted in the LORD's House, we will flourish in GOD's courts, we will bring forth fruit even in old age, we are growing in grace.

Psalms 92:12-14 (Amplified Bible)

92:12 The [uncompromisingly] righteous shall flourish like the palm tree [be long-lived, stately, upright, useful, and fruitful]; they shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon [majestic, stable, durable, and incorruptible].

92:13 Planted in the house of the Lord, they shall flourish in the courts of our God.

92:14 [Growing in grace] they shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be full of sap [of spiritual vitality] and [rich in the] verdure [of trust, love, and contentment].

4. We are just grafted into this green olive tree

Romans 11:24 (Amplified Bible)

11:24 For if you have been cut from what is by nature a wild olive tree, and against nature grafted into a cultivated olive tree, how much easier will it be to graft these natural [branches] back on [the original parent stock of] their own olive tree.

B. I trust and rely on loving-kindness and mercy of GOD forever and ever

"I trust in and confidently rely on the loving-kindness and the mercy of God forever and ever"

Psalms 13:5 (Amplified Bible)

13:5 But I have trusted, leaned on, and been confident in Your mercy and loving-kindness; my heart shall rejoice and be in high spirits in Your salvation.

This world's health are coming from their food, vitamins and what they drink; but our health and strength comes from obeying the LORD.

Proverbs 3:7-8 (Amplified Bible)

3:7 Be not wise in your own eyes; reverently fear and worship the Lord and turn [entirely] away from evil.

3:8 It shall be health to your nerves and sinews, and marrow and moistening to your bones.

Psalms 33:18 (Amplified Bible)

33:18 Behold, the Lord’s eye is upon those who fear Him [who revere and worship Him with awe], who wait for Him and hope in His mercy and loving-kindness,
