God Wants To Be With You!

Summary: This sermon is a salvation sermon pointing out that God wants to be with us and what He did to get to us.
YOU’VE GOT TO UNDERSTAND THAT
GOD WANTS TO BE WITH YOU!!!
I, EVEN I, AM HE WHO BLOTS OUT YOUR TRANSGRESSIONS FOR MY OWN SAKE; AND I WILL NOT REMEMBER YOUR SINS. PUT ME IN REMEMBRANCE; LET US CONTEND TOGETHER; STATE YOUR CASE, THAT YOU MAY BE ACQUITTED. YOUR FIRST FATHER SINNED, AND YOUR MEDIATORS HAVE TRANSGRESSED AGAINST ME.
God wants to be with you…but Sin and God do not mix! He forgives us for HIS sake…so that we can be with Him. God’s highest desire is to have a relationship with us!
JUST AS HE CHOSE US IN HIM BEFORE THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD, THAT WE SHOULD BE HOLY AND WITHOUT BLAME BEFORE HIM
IN LOVE.
There is a problem, though! Sin entered the world and we were all born into it! Here is how that happened.
GOD & MAN’S RELATIONSHIP BROKEN
THEREFORE, JUST AS THROUGH ONE MAN SIN ENTERED THE WORLD, AND DEATH THROUGH SIN, AND THUS DEATH SPREAD TO ALL MEN, BECAUSE ALL SINNED…
(Story of Adam and Eve…They used to have a close relationship with God until they sinned….now they have died. Point out that it wasn’t a physical death, but a spiritual death that entered into them and the entire planet that God had created perfect {Romans 8}…everyone that is born is born into this system of spiritual death.)
FOR ALL HAVE SINNED AND FALL SHORT OF THE GLORY OF GOD
Obviously, this was a big problem for us and for God! If God wants to be with us, but can’t bring us to Himself because of our sin nature we received from Adam…then God had to do something. He did that “something” through His Son.
JESUS CAME TO RESTORE THE RELATIONSHIP
FOR AS BY ONE MAN’S DISOBEDIENCE MANY WERE MADE SINNERS, SO ALSO BY ONE MAN’S OBEDIENCE MANY WILL BE MADE RIGHTOUS.
BUT NOW IN CHRIST JESUS YOU WHO ONCE WERE FAR OFF HAVE BEEN BROUGHT NEAR BY THE BLOOD OF CHRIST.
2ND CORINTHIANS 5:18
NOW ALL THINGS ARE OF GOD, WHO HAS RECONCILED US TO HIMSELF THROUGH JESUS CHRIST, AND HAS GIVEN US THE MINISTRY OF RECONCILATION. (19) THAT IS, THAT GOD WAS IN CHRIST RECONCILING THE WORLD TO HIMSELF, NOT IMPUTING THEIR TRESPASSES TO THEM AND HAS COMMITED TO US THE WORD OF RECONCILIATION.
God WANTS to be with you! He came in the form of a man and died for your sins…He went through all of that trouble just to get us back to Himself! Can you see the love that He has for you?
BUT GOD DEMONSTRATES HIS LOVE TOWARD US IN THIS, THAT WHILE WE WERE STILL SINNERS, CHRIST DIED FOR THE UNGODLY.
Even at your worst moment…as you have hated people and maybe blamed God for the wrong in your life…Jesus knew it and didn’t care. His love went beyond that and saw what it would be like if you would accept Him and His sacrifice. He saw you and Him in an ETERNAL RELATIONSHIP.
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever would believe in Him would not perish, but receive everlasting life.
Everlasting life with Jesus! With the God of the universe! He is aching to be with you today! Will you accept Him?
