Summary: the happy Christian

Intro: when someone you love seems a little down or blue, you sometimes will do something to try to cheer them up—Everyone gets down from time to time, so here are a few verses that basically say: Cheer Up!

Matthew 9:2—cheer up, your sins are forgiven

The message of this week is cheer up, you don’t have to live in condemnation, your sins are forgiven. You can be happy, because your past is your past.

Matthew 14:27—cheer up, it is me, be not afraid-

Not matter what storms you are facing, Jesus is coming to you, be not afraid. You can cheer up, you can be happy, because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

John 16:33- in this world you will have troubles, cheer up, I have overcome the world—

You will face problems, there is no way around it, but cheer up, Jesus has overcome this world. He has overcome sin, he has overcome the devil, he has overcome death, and thanks be unto God who always causes us to win in Jesus Christ.

Acts 23:11---cheer up, as you have witnessed for me in Jerusalem, you must witness at Rome also. It may look bad, you may be facing some great obstacles, but cheer up, as God has come through for you before, he will come through for you again.

Acts 27:25—cheer up men, for I believe God, that it will turn out exactly like I was told. Even when all hope seems gone, even when the ship is going down, cheer up, God’s Word still stands, the last chapter says we win, heaven and earth will pass away, but his word will never pass away.
